Terms and Conditions
(Safe Use) of Hire

1. STANDARD TERMS
All bookings will be confirmed by Glow ‘n’ Play with a copy of these terms and conditions. The named person on the confirmation letter ‘the hirer’ is solely responsible and liable for meeting these terms and conditions, by confirming their understanding with a signature (before the hire) at the foot of this document.
1. A booking is not accepted from anyone under the age of 18.
2. The hirer, or a suitable nominated person, must be in attendance with the equipment the entire period of the hire or ensure the equipment is left in a secure place.
3. The equipment must be used only for the purpose for which it is designed and hired for.
The hiring is personal to the hirer and is not capable of being assigned or sub-hired to anyone else.
4. Glow ‘n’ Play is insured for a minimum of £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance however, the hirer shall be responsible for: -
a. Appropriate public liability insurance for events with the exception of when Glow ‘n’ Play provide staff.
b. The cost of repair or replacement of any property belonging to Glow ‘n’ Play, which is damaged or destroyed during or . . in connection with the hiring;
c. The payment of any charges, in particular relating to the location of the equipment (parks, halls and similar);
d. All accidents, loss, injury or damage, infringement of copyright caused by the hirer or anyone acting on their behalf arising from the hire, and indemnifying Glow ‘n’ Play against any costs, claims or demands arising there from, except for such occurrences that are due to negligence of Glow ‘n’ Play, its servants or agents.
5. Glow ‘n’ Play do not accept responsibility in respect of damage to or loss of any property, articles or things whatsoever damaged or lost on, in or around our equipment.
6. Glow ‘n’ Play do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by the hirer or any other person as a result of any breakdown, interruption or accident whatsoever necessitating the cancellation or interruption of the hiring. The hirer shall indemnify Glow ‘n’ Play against any costs, claims or demands arising out of such occurrence.
7. The hired equipment remains the hirer’s responsibility until it has been collected by Glow ‘n’ Play.
8. The hired equipment shall be left in a clean, tidy and working condition to avoid additional costs.
9. The equipment must be ready for collection by the expiration of the time of hire, any missing items will incur replacement and loss of earning costs where subsequent hires may be affected.
10. Food and Drink are not permitted on the hired equipment with the exception of our Sweet Cart, Ferris Wheel, Prosecco Wall, Lollipop Cart, Doughnut Wall, Drinks Cart, Popcorn Machine, Slush Machine, Hotdog Machine and Candyfloss Machine. 11. No face paints, chewing gum or silly string must be used on or near the equipment as they can stain and incur cleaning costs which will be covered by the hirer.
12. Smoking is not permitted on or near the equipment.
13. Pets are not permitted on or near the hired equipment.
14. Glow ‘n’ Play reserve the right at any time to refuse or cancel the hiring of any hired equipment or booking.
15. On arrival the area should be clear, clean and accessible via flat even ground unless alternative accessibility arrangements have been agreed by Glow ‘n’ Play.
16. Under no circumstances can we inflate castles in public areas unless we have prior written approval from the land owner. 17. Under no circumstances will we deliver castles through property, exterior access is required or delivery will not be made and deposits will not be refunded.
18. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure power is available unless alternative sources are agreed by prior arrangement. Where extension cables are required we will only use cables supplied by Glow ‘n’ Play.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS
1. When less than 48 hours’ notice given by the hirer, or the location is unsuitable (unclean or not flat) - hirer not entitled to any
refund.
2..Bad weather on the day for outdoor events – if cancelled by Glow ‘n’ Play 75% refund, if cancelled by hirer 50% refund unless an alternative date is arranged.

2. SAFE OPERATION
1. By signing below the hirer is confirming their understanding of the safe operation terms and takes full responsibility and liability for following this document.
2. All non-inflatable equipment is supplied for decoration only and should not be used for any other purpose.
3. When using the LETTERs as a photo prop, only use as demonstrated by a representative of Glow ‘n’ Play.
4. User heights and numbers must be adhered to, these are as per manufacturer’s instructions and can be found on our website and on the castles.
5. Anyone with any significant health problems (such as back / neck complaints) must not use the inflatables.
6. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
7. ONCE IN PLACE THE EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT BE MOVED BY ANYONE EXCEPT GLOW ‘N’ PLAY TRAINED REPRESENTATIVES, DOING SO MAY RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT INJURY.
8. Children should be supervised at all times around the equipment, some items are freestanding and not fixed in place.
9. Ensure that the vent on the side of any blowers are kept clear at all times.
10. All equipment supplied complies with BSEN14960, holds a current safety certificate, PAT tested and insured for £5,000,000 public liability.

3. OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS
1. If there appears to be any problems with the power supply or equipment, the hirer must not attempt to rectify the problem, the hirer must cease use safely and should immediately contact Glow ‘n‘ Play / Glow ‘n’ Play Weddings on 07724 317048.
2. Any damage to the equipment must be reported to Glow ‘n‘ Play and will be charged to the hirer. If damage is beyond repair, full cost of a replacement will be sought. The hirer will be charged any additional costs such as hire of replacement equipment during the time the equipment is out of action.

4. ACCIDENT PROCEDURES
1. If there should be an accident involving injury to a child or an adult, and there is any doubt concerning the seriousness of the injury, then an ambulance or paramedic unit should be called as soon as possible. Where child users are involved, the parent or responsible adult who accompanied the child to the event should be contacted at once.
2. The hirer should ensure access to a mobile phone or know the location of nearest public phone, for purpose of contacting emergency services.

These are for the safety of all people using the equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. We cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.
